Today has been randomly productive. Which nobody at work will believe when I go in tomorrow. I stayed up until 4am talking to [livejournal.com profile] playfullips - it was like old times! - and then got up before noon and took my car to get a free tyre check at the ATS so I know if they need replacing before I get my MOT done. The back ones are fine but the front ones are getting low on tread depth, so I need to remember to order a set of front tyres to be waiting at the garage when I go for my service/MOT at the start of Nov.

Then I spent the whole day on Wii Fit while catching up on TV things. It has apparently been 418 days since I last used Wii Fit, oops. I had a lot of fun though, I just can't walk now.

I took Mam to her friend's house after that, so I was actually dressed for the better part of 10 hours. Very unusual for me on my day off!

I'm watching far too many new TV shows. The Playboy Club being cancelled has eased that a little, at least. And now Glee's off for a month (sadface) so that lightens up my Wednesdays for a while, and by then hopefully I will have come to a decision about whether to stick with Ringer or not. Or maybe had that decision made for me. We'll see.

I very rarely get out of bed on a weekend if there's no football or Echelon event of some sort, but today I did! I've been very productive. I went to the post office with a big box of DVDs to sell to Music Magpie, which I should get about £15 for. I bought a bag of coal and posted some birthday cards, and finished sorting my car insurance.

Then I came home and watched some of the live Red Nose Day 24 hour panel show stuff - Would I Lie To You was funny as ever, then 8 Out of 10 Cats was a bit shit so I switched off and watched some Scrubs. I've now finished season 4 in my marathon!

The rest of my afternoon (aside from watching football) can be summed up in pictures:

And SAFC got a clean sheet and a point against Arsenal, so all in all, good day!

I still owe the second half of Wii North reportage. Eh. Later.

This weekend has been awesomely lazy. I got up early yesterday (9.30am on a Saturday. A Saturday with no football. WTF!) to go get inducted at the gym. This was basically a woman showing me and this one other bloke how to use all of the machines, except he was whingey and a bit odd so he ended up running one behind me on everything, she had to show me how to do it and then while I did it she went to show him what she'd already showed me. Anyway, now I can use my unlimited swim card at the gym too, so that's good.

Then I came home, got into bed, watched Dollhouse, talked to [livejournal.com profile] scourgeoe for a bit, brought the Wii upstairs, talked to Max some more, discovered Mam wanted to play Boom Blox, and took the Wii back downstairs. Sometime around 4.30 Danni and Natalie came to collect a cake, and then I came back up here with the intention of being productive (and I semi was, adding new NPH pics to the gallery at nph-fan) but didn't really do anything.

Then it was time for Harry Hill and food, and then Ant & Dec, and then I washed the dishes (missing out on Echelon Skype time in the process due to by the time I was ready to Skype something had fricked up with my laptop so there was no sound, and then I was too lazy to go back upstairs once it was working so I ended up cleaning out my harddrive instead).

Theeeeeen.... I internetted until almost 4am (mostly spent at FanForum) and then went to bed, intending to watch the Dead Like Me movie. I watched ten minutes of it and then turned it off to go to sleep.

I slept until 2.30 this afternoon, went for a swim, watched a bit more DLM then QI from Friday and the rest of Let's Dance from last night, then Dancing on Ice, then the rest of Dead Like Me, Supernatural and the DoI results show. Then Friday's Sarah Connor... and then it's now.

HIMYM was awesome last night.

I bought some new headphones for my iPod today because my other ones popped in one ear last night.

They are blue. I like them.

We had some duck spring rolls for tea.

I think that's the extent of today's interesting things to post about! And even then it's pushing it.

I should be in bed, but I'm not. I'm just clicking between LJ, Twitter, Facebook and another site even though I know nobody is up. I've put a 2009 calendar of upcoming events in my sidebar. Well, as far as September anyway. That's as far as my plans for the year go at the moment, I'll add more later.

Work tomorrow, but we literally have enough work to keep me going until about 11am and that's it. I don't know why we all have to come in, but never mind! I'll probably just piss about on Photoshop all day. I've watched 99 movies so far this year, I could be at 100 by now but I don't want to watch the DVD I got for Christmas if it can be avoided, because I could save that for a 2009 movie. #100 will probably be the Exorcism of Emily Rose tomorrow night on Five, or possibly Chocolat on New Year's Eve if I don't watch Emily Rose for the shits and giggles tomorrow.

I've spent most of the last few days playing Professor Layton on my DS, I'm a big fan of logic puzzles so I've enjoyed it a lot, but I've finished the main game now so just finding all the remaining puzzles (think I have 8 left) and the bonus stuff, and then I'm done. Will probably go back and redo some of the fun ones, though, with the water pouring and ball sliding. I like those the most.

I need to cap and make icons from my Outnumbered DVD. It's just the funniest show. I think it even makes me LOL more than HIMYM does (I've been known to cry with laughter at it, and it still makes me laugh so hard I can't breathe even on a third or fourth rewatch), though I'd never in a million years want to live with kids like those. Speaking of icons, I only have 127 out of a possible 195 so I really need to make some more to upload. And then I'll start an icon rotation because I've fallen into the bad habit of just replying to everything with my default icon.

What else is there to ramble about? I can't actually think of anything.

Meh.

The Dive From Clausen's Pier is on TV tonight here. Like, real TV. Yes, it's on after 3.30 in the morning, but I never thought I'd see the day!

Not that I'll be seeing it personally. I'll be fast asleep. But anyway. Hee!

I love that movie. I'm ashamed to say it, but I do. Mostly for the levels of Sean Maher nudity.

Mam and I totally amused ourselves tonight. We got back from eating at Nando's and were coming in the front door and it was just in time for Neighbours. She said something, and I said something, and then I said "No, I'm going to the loo, actually."

And she said "Isn't that a film?"

And I said "Yes. There's a film called Loo, Actually. It stars Poo Grant."

She nearly fell down the step into the dining room!

Then we came up with the other stars - Piss Marshall, Colon Firth and Enema Thompson.

We're so cool.

So far today, I have learned two things.

1) For somebody who did Film & Media Studies at Uni, there are a lot of films I haven't seen that I apparently should have done.

2) I really cannot read comics.

Does anybody, by any chance, happen to have (or know of anybody I could harrass to do a favour for me) a Wireimage account that would allow download of images as old as 2003?
