I'm bored, and I finally have speedy internet for the next seven hours at least, so I can do this one! Yay!

Pick a number between 1-100 and I'll upload a song from my iTunes party shuffle library that corresponds with the number you choose. then tell me if you liked it/hated it/whatever! if you already have the song that i upload, tell me and i'll upload a different one. it's fun, i promise. and you get free music! sounds good? okay, go!

So I'm doing my dissertation on Firefly & Serenity, and I'm doing a chapter on the fans. So my supervisor said I should email this other lecturer who is more into fandomy stuff. I get this email back and it makes me squee, hee!

I'm not sure how much I can help you. My research has primarily focused on fandom in relation to Farscape and Doctor Who.

I am aware of 'Browncoat' activity on the web, though - and yes, if it wasn't for the fans (well, the DVD sales) then the film would never have happened. It's easily the best sci-fi film for 25 years, by the way.

PS Have you read the Dark Horse comics mini-series which links the TV show to the movie? I have electronic copies if you are interested.
